About

Banter Music is a true labour of love. It was founded by Banter Media CEO, Liam Andrew Wright, in 2010 from a love of pop-punk music. 2012 sees an exciting year for the young label. The new roster is fresh, youthful and passionate about every aspect of their music.

If it wasn’t for the resources available through Banter Media then Banter Music just wouldn’t be possible. The music industry makes it hard for small independent labels to turn any form of profit without selling their artists to a major. However, this is part of the goal and aspirations of Banter Music. We thrive to be a stepping stone label that can help upcoming acts to fulfil their potential and become the artists we know they can.

We have our own recording studio, film production crew and photography studio as well as graphic designers and a web team which means that we have all of the resources to help push new acts in the right direction.

Owner of Banter Music, Liam, is a filmmaker by trade but is finally returning to his first love – music and producing records for Banter Music.

“Since sitting on the floor of my older sister’s bedroom at the age of 5 demanding “The Housemartins – Caravan of Love” (ahem…) I have been in love with music. I started playing music at the age of 8 and produced my first record at 14. I then took a move away from music towards film but music was always my inspiration for every visual I created.

Now that Banter is off the ground I am coming back to my first love. I get to put my producer cap once again and with Adam alongside to mix and master I am very excited about the future at Banter Music. The idea behind Banter Music was to create a roster of artists who feel more like a family than a company. This didn’t happen straight away but I think we are finally there and the atmosphere at the studio is electric and very exciting indeed”
